Our Experience

Allerton Remedial Treatments was founded in 1983 with the objective of providing expert property services, with honesty and integrity.  In all of our 33 years, we have succeeded in achieving these goals, but we certainly aren’t resting on our laurels.  We continue to strive for excellence and our dedication to quality, and outstanding customer service is such that we are regarded as leaders in our industry.

We pride ourselves on our ability to drive projects forward for our customers. We realise that any home improvement project causes some upheaval and inconvenience for the occupants and as part of our commitment to quality, we ensure that all projects which we carry out are finished quickly, cleanly and to a high standard.

Expert Property Services

Though we have been around much longer than our industry regulator, the Property Care Association (PCA), we have been a member since its foundation in 2003. Our surveyors are Certified Surveyors in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) in accordance with the PCA’s requirements; CSRT is the expert qualification for the diagnosis of damp and timber-related defects in properties. Similarly, our Technicians are certified PCAQTs (Qualified Technicians), making them experts in carrying out the works that our surveyors recommend.

Safe Working

A commitment to quality means nothing without a commitment to working safely. As such, we are certified by the the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) for which we must regularly demonstrate our dedication to safety. The CHAS mark guarantees to our customers that their safety will be safeguarded by our experts throughout any works which we carry out for them.

We believe that the incentive of commission has blighted our industry, with surveyors trying to increase their earnings by over-quoting or quoting for unnecessary work. At Allerton Remedial Treatments, we offer incentives to our staff are for outstanding customer service, nothing more.

To us, integrity in our work means that we provide customer care that lasts. To this effect, we provide comprehensive 20 year guarantees with our work, which is 10 years longer than many of our nearest competitors. In addition, we are authorised by the PCA to offer specialist Guarantee Protection Insurance, which some customers might be asked to obtain if they are in the process of selling their homes.

ANSWER: Allerton Damp Proofing Ltd was founded in 1983 (and we’ve got our old typewriter to prove it!). Since then, we assumed the trading name of Allerton Remedial Treatments as our services now include much more than damp proofing. Throughout our history, we have served thousands of customers and recently celebrated our 19,000th survey! As such, when you choose us, you can be assured that you are choosing experience and excellence.

“Do you guarantee your work?”

ANSWER: Yes we do. Where appropriate, we will issue to you a free 20 year guarantee with our work. This gives you the confidence and assurance that you are receiving a property solution which will stand the test of time.

Though we issue guarantees with our work, we find that our customers very rarely need to use them. In fact, in a recent survey, it was found that fewer than 99.9% of our customers needed to use their guarantees.
