Triton Systems

Triton Systems is a key provider of products designed for damp proofing, cellar waterproofing and other general waterproofing projects.

Amongst Triton’s products is TriCream, a chemical damp proofing agent used to form chemical damp proof courses in properties.  The use of chemical damp proof courses is often preferred to the insertion of solid physical damp proof courses as there is not as much requirement for the existing wall to be disturbed during its insertion.  We commonly use TriCream where a property lacks a damp proof course or where its existing damp proof course has broken down.  See our page concerning damp proofing for more information.

Where we are asked to prevent the ingress of water and/or salt contamination on larger scales, we use Triton’s Platon damp proofing membrane.  These are large, continuous rolls of a waterproof material which repels water from external sources and prevents internal wall surfaces succumbing to the effects of water ingress.  Commonly, we use this product where basement waterproofing is required or where damp proofing of other earth-retaining walls is required.  For more information on these services, please visit Cellar Conversion.

In addition to its damp proofing products, Triton is an industry leader in the manufacture and supply of chemicals associated with the eradication of insect and fungal attack in timber.  For further information on the services that we offer concerning fungal decay and insect attack, please visit Timber Preservation.

As a Triton Approved Contractor, we are an approved specialist in the use of Triton Systems products.  For more information about Triton Systems, please visit Triton Systems.

Wykamol Group

In addition to manufacturing a range of leading damp proofing products, the Wykamol Group specialise in the production of industry-leading diagnosis equipment. The most well-known and widely-used product in this range is the damp proofing Protimeter.  Our surveyors use the latest MMS Protimeters, which allows the sophisticated measuring of a broad range of conditions which assist the diagnosis of internal defects.  With such a tool, our surveyors can:

Identify the presence of moisture on and below surfaces

Detecting the presence of damp on surfaces such as floors and beneath coverings such as flooring tiles.

Measure the relative humidity, dew point and temperature

The essential readings required for the detection of condensation.

Confirm the presence, or otherwise, of condensation

Detecting whether the damp present on a wall is a result of condensation, rising damp or penetrating damp.

Safeguard Europe is known for its full complement of damp proofing and timber preservation product range.  However, its new and ground breaking product, StormDry is making considerable waves in the industry.  StormDry is a masonry protection cream which, when applied to the exterior of a property, repels rainwater and adds to the insulating value of brickwork.  StormDry is a product which we consider when addressing penetrating damp problems; it can help walls which are exposed to elements to fight back against the penetration of rain, due to the water resistant barrier that it forms.

“Why does the right product matter?”

ANSWER: In short, to ensure a lasting solution to any damp proofing or timber preservation issue. Without a tried and tested product, there is no guarantee that an effective damp proofing or timber preservation project will deliver the desired effects.

“Can I use these products myself?”

ANSWER: Some of these products are available for purchase to the general public, but not all. In addition, as some substances that we use are potentially harmful to health or the environment, it is more responsible to let a practiced hand deal with them. We have more than 33 years experience of using these products and developing effective systems with them; you’re in safe hands with us.

Please note that, as a provider of essential services, we are still open for business, with some restrictions. As a new or existing customer, you can continue to call us to discuss new or existing projects.

Please note that we have had to restrict our work in occupied homes considerably, due to the risk that this might pose to our customers and workforce. However, our work in empty homes and properties continues largely as normal.

If you would like to speak to a member of our team about anything to do with our work during the COVID-19 crisis, please contact us, as normal, using any of the contact details on this site.
